Jason earned his undergraduate degree in Pre-Law from Campbell University. He then went on to graduate from UNC School of Law. Prior to entering private practice, Jason spent several years in criminal law as an Assistant District Attorney with the Orange County District Attorney's office.

Jason's practice encompasses multiple areas of law, including family law, personal injury, wrongful death cases, civil litigation, and felony defense. Jason is a member of the Orange County Bar Association and the North Carolina Bar Association.
